Hi there! My name is Sarah and I am the creator of Tiny Van Big Living. I am a former traveling Occupational Therapist who lived in a converted camper van (Vanny Devito) full time for almost two years. I am collecting experiences, not things while slowly climbing out of the giant hole that is student loan debt.

Second weekend in the camper is in the books. A de Second weekend in the camper is in the books. A deflated air mattress and @borealisthedog itching and bathing himself in the wee hours of the mornings made sleep a little rough. But hey at least we got up early and got to these springs before the rest of the Southwest did ! #camperlife #hotsprings #newmexicotrue #truckcamperlife
Some of us enjoy hot springs more than others. 🐶😂
A few months ago I showed Shamus a pop up truck ca A few months ago I showed Shamus a pop up truck camper online. We were pretty set on buying a new van next summer after a year of saving money for it. But we already had a truck and the idea of getting to more remote places became more appealing. Not to mention truck campers are cheaper , light, spacious, and don’t need to be licensed or registered. After a few weeks of searching the exact size , brand, and weight of camper we wanted, we found one on Craigslist and bought it. Just in time for my 30th birthday road trip. We named her Pinion as an ode to our current home in New Mexico. Can’t wait to spend the next few months in New Mexico exploring in our new home! #truckcamperlife ?

Transitioning from van camping to tent camping has Transitioning from van camping to tent camping hasn’t been smooth for us. We can’t seem to remember things like utensils, flashlights, enough water, and toilet paper. And waking up to a thunderstorm with water dripping on your head versus the roof of your van makes a rough night sleep 💧. Enjoying the #tentlife but looking forward to getting into a new rig soon 😊🚐. How about that Milky Way tho? 🤩
I am 4 weeks into my travel assignment in New Mexi I am 4 weeks into my travel assignment in New Mexico. Four impressions so far 1. The weather in Santa Fe is wonderfully mild 2. NM is super biodiverse 3. Santa Fe is very dog friendly 4. New Mexico is seriously underrated #landofenchantment #newmexico
